Excel Array with condition

I just want to look up the dates in A column with in the array in F column.If the date in column A is less than from the first starting date in column F, there is no a desired result. But if the date in A3 is between the date in F2 and F3, multiply the amount in column B3 by G2. If the date in A4 is greater or equal to F3 and F4, multiply the amount in B4 by G3 etc. What would be the best Excel Function to calculate this type of large date in Excel.

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Sort by date Sort by votes
Try,

1] Assume your "Result Table" in A1:C6, and "Lookup Table" in F1:G5

2] In "Desired result" C2, copied down :

=IFERROR(LOOKUP(9^9,G$2:G$5/(F$2:F$5<=A2))*B2,0)
