Hi

I've just upgraded to Windows 10 and I'm now trying to open password protected files that were created with 2007 but when I open the file Excel pops up but the password box doesn't so I can't get into it.

It's a file created by head office so I have to leave the password in place.

Do you have any idea what I need to do or settings I have to change to get the popup box to show so I can enter the password?

Regards
Tezza

Excel Facts

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
Well this is a weird one.

If I open the file with Win 7 then office 2007 is fine, however, if I use Win 10 then I have to use at least 2010 or the password box won't appear.

I've tried different compatibility modes but nothing works.

Some say the encryption is different between the two versions of windows but the internet doesn't really give any answers to it.

.
If your version of WIN 10 is 64 bit ... perhaps the code itself is written for WIN 32 bit only ?
