I have connections that read in data from textfiles. The Workbook is placed in the same folder as the textfiles. If the folder is moved to another location the query in the connection has to be updated. Is there away to reference the folder were the Workbook is placed so the query does not need updating?

You could use some code in the Workbook_Open event procedure to update the QueryTables' connection strings using the workbook's Path property. I don't know an automatic way, sorry.
