ERROR Formula is Incomplete in Power Query

Hi,

in Power Query > clicked on menu Add Column > clicked Add Custom Column > typed formula as
=Date.AddDays([Date],4)

but facing the ERROR as "Formula is Incomplete"

Very odd, works for me, Win 10 64bit, Excel 2016 64bit, English-UK settings.

What is your setup?

Same for me. I'm also curious about your Excel version. Mine is 16.0.6925.1049 64-bit.
I don't have the option "Invoke Custom Function" in the "Add Column" tab. (I do have it in Power BI Desktop, but not in Excel).

I have a Win8 box with Excel 2013, I will try it later today, although I expect it to work fine.

Working on it.
Sometimes it involves programming in the Advanced Editor; typically one would start using the menu options, if that's not enough then adjust the generated code in the formula bar and if that's not enough, step into the Advanced Editor. Occasionally I'm working entirely in the Advanced Editor.
I'm working on comprehensive documentation of the Power Query Formula Language.

I have just tried it on a Win 8.1 box, Excel 2013, but I got the same result, it worked fine. Really clutching at straws here, but I saw in your video that the data change type was set as Date for the CalendarDate column. My system defaults to datetime, did you change it?

i changed to DateTime type but issue remains same. i think the problem is in Add Custom Column for formula. let me practice in Advanced Editor. thanks to Bardd and Marcel for quick reply.

please suggest me that is there any videos like ExcelIsFun to learn entire power query formulas. i already learnt powerquery with help of ExcelIsFun videos but i am interested to learn PowerQuery Formulas completely also
