Equation into Excel using PEMDAS

Hello All,

I am trying to put formula A13 into Excel but am not sure how to write it using PEMDAS. Any help would be appreciated as I can just plug in the numbers for things like Pmax and etc. Thank you in advance.

So if I am understanding it correctly now, the formula should be

(-(g^2)/(3*Pmax)) - ((-(g^4*hpo^4)-12*g*hpo^3*Pmax^2)/(3*hpo^2*Pmax*Z(Pmax,hpo))) - (Z(Pmax,hpo)/(3*hpo^2*Pmax)) where I have Z(Pmax,hpo) referencing the cell with the formula you gave

Does the formula for Z give a plausible result?

I'm not sure what Z is suppose to look like. All I know is that A12 is suppose to be a negative four digit number which it currently is not. So assuming that the Z formula you gave me was correct, it has to be something with the A12 formula.

No. You can't have this in a formula

Z(Pmax,hpo)

unless Z is a user-defined function.

Yeah the A12 formula is still not working. Is there any way that you could just put it in an excel workout? Is a user-defined function meaning macro's? Why would Z need to be a macro?

It doesn't need to be a macro. You can put the formula for Z in another cell and reference it in that equation.

Okay. But from what you've seen A12 and A13 (Z) formulas are correct?
