I edited your message, and the checkbox for 'Notify me when a reply is posted' was NOT checked. You need to make sure it is for the email notification to work.
but when i click edit i see that "Notify me when a reply is posted" is checked...i've always made sure that it is before i post...i've also gone and edited other messages i have posted as well and they have that box checked as well...however i've received no email notification in a loooong time...

Ok, I've checked things again and everything seems fine...
When you read this post at the bottom you should see:
"Watch this topic for replies"
or
"Stop watching this topic"
that has the same "effect" of the "Notify me when a reply is posted" box. Which one do you see ?

this is what i see at the bottom in a section called "Options" when i post a reply or when i edit a post...

[ ] Disable BBCode in this post
[ ] Disable Similies in this post
[X] Notify me when a reply is posted
When i am in the forum where all the message are listed i see a link in the bottom right corner of the page called "Stop watching this topic" with a link to "Add to Favorites" below it, but there is no link to start watching the topic...

But I did just go find one of your posts in the Excel Questions forum, where I am moderator.

In your profile, do you have the "Always notify me of replies" set to yes or no? If no, you have to remember to check the box for any message you want to keep track of, or click the "watch topic" link at the bottom of the page.
