Electronic Signatures in Word

I am inserting electronic signatures into a word document using the merge utility. My letters are in alpha order based on who it is being sent to but my signatures are random and one per page. (Letter #1 needs signature #3, and letter #2 needs signature #1, etc.) Is there a way to insert my electronic signature based on a database label? I am inserting the signature into the merge as a picture. Is there a way to insert it a different way? Any help would be great!
