Dynamic named range

How can I name a range which changes.
Range is 2-dimensional. Last row and column are as shown.

I used something like this in the past for a single column.
Excel Formula:
=Sheet1!$G$1:INDEX(Sheet1!$G:$G,COUNTA(Sheet1!$G:$G))

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
You might need to reframe the question and start a new thread.
When I try using a named range in Conditional formatting it converts it to the current range value of the named range ie although the named range is dynamic the conditional formatting range it not.
This is the case regardless of whether I use Indirect(NamedRange) or Index(NamedRange) or just Named Range or in fact putting the Formula straight into the conditional formatting box.

So since it is no longer a question of making a named range dynamic, it might be worth starting a thread spelling out what you are trying to achieve and getting some alternative suggestions on how to achieve it.
