Hi,
I am using Dmax, Dsum formulas to sum the values (in column A) associated with a given serial number (where the serial numbers are in columns B, C,......).
The strange outcome I get is that for a given serial number "UMC1", my summed values include those associated with serial number UMC1 (as I want) but also the values associated with serial numbers UMC10, UMC11 etc (which I obviously don't want), presumably because those serial numbers include "UMC1" within them.
Is there a way of getting excel to only include values associated with the serial numbers which are a perfect match??

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
