In excel work book i have 10 worksheets. On each of the worksheet i have 50 employee names with unique Id numbers (eg. column A will have ID no and column B employee name). In the 11 sheet i want the sheet name displayed in B1 when i type the employee no in A1.
I'm not clear what your wanting.
You said on all 11 sheets you have 50 Employee id in column A And 50 Names in Column B
But now you want to enter Employee id in A1 and have sheet name entered in B1
Are you talking about entering these two values into the 11 sheets or look in the 11 sheets for the name and then enter the sheet name in B1 of some Master sheet.
If you already have names and employee Ids in these columns will you not be over writing what's already in the cells?
I think you may be wanting to enter id in A1 of the master sheet and have it display sheet name where it found name in in one of those 11 sheets into B1 on the master sheet.
And if this is the case we need the name of the Master Sheet.
And are all these 11 sheets the only sheets in the workbook?
If not we need all 11 sheet names or what sheets to ignore.
