How can I show plus (+) sign in front of the subtraction output if it is positive?
Lets say A1 : 2 and A2: 6 = and I want to make a calculation in A3 =A2-A1 =4
I would like it to be displayed as +4.
I don't have problem with minus results obviously. thanks.

Test for Multiple Conditions in IF?
Use AND(test, test, test, test) or OR(test, test, test, ...) as the logical_test argument of IF.
Note that doing the above (post #2 ) will result in the answer being text, and will no long be available for further calcs unless you (again) modify it.

Perhaps try Custom Formatting with +#,##0

Hey Ford ...

You can also highlight the cells where the numbers will be, RIGHT CLICK, choose FORMAT CELLS and select NUMBER (no decimals if desired).

Yes ?

Yes ?

If you mean the cell with your formula in (if I understand you correctly) that still wont change it from being text

Using Custom Format : +#,##0

causes an issue if the answer is negative.

If A1 is 7 and A2 is 6 (using the custom formatting) the answer will be shown as -+1

Must be another way of doing this ....

Thanks for reply Rick but that doesn't seem to work either.

I think you mean (semicolon instead of comma; might be a localization difference, though):

+#;-#

Although I would opt for:

+0;-0;0

Thus, if the value is less than 0.5, we would +0 instead of simply +. And if the value is zero, we would see 0 instead of +.
