Hi everyone!

Could someone explain the difference between AddItem and RowSource methods on ComboBox and ListBox form items? Which one it's better to use?

Thanks in advance!

Excel Facts

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
Rowsource is for when you want to use a range for the input of a listbox/textbox. It also allows you to use the column headers property of a listbox.

AddItem is for adding any type of data, ie not necessarily from a range. It's generally best avoided for less than about 5 items as it's extremely slow. It's also limited to 10 columns.

Personally, I use neither I use .list. it allows you to populate directly from an array.
