Deleting all values from a text box on open

I have a text box that I want to have the values removed when the spreadsheet is opened. What is wrong with this code?

Code: 
Sheets("Home").ListObjects("txtActivities") = ""
 

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
Sort by date Sort by votes
What sort of textbox is it ??
If it's a standard textbox on the worksheet

Change the textbox name to suit
