Hiya all!

Every time I open up excel I get the date picker in the shape of a square instead of the rectangle I designed it to be. Is this a known flaw? If so, how do I fix it so it stops doing that?

Thanks for your help,
Tara

Hiya Rick!

LOL that's too funny. I should have been more clear. I found the answer though and that's what's important. Thanks though for taking an interest in my post and helping!

Excel Facts

Test for Multiple Conditions in IF?
Use AND(test, test, test, test) or OR(test, test, test, ...) as the logical_test argument of IF.

Is the problem actually whenever you add a date picker to the worksheet?

Or is it that you add it, resize it as needed, close the workbook and when you reopen the workbook it's magically changed size?

You could try right clicking the control, Format Control... and setting it to 'Don't move or size with cells'?

PS I notice the code in the link you posted actually adds a new workbook to fix this.

Seems a bit much to me.:)

Hiya Norie,

It is that I add it, resize it as needed, close the workbook and when I reopen the workbook it's magically changed size. I did try the don't move or size with cells but it still opens up magically three times taller?? Weird

Well that usually work and seemed to when I tried it.

The control did act a bit wierd a couple of times but I put that down to my computer's general behaviour.

Perhaps it's something to do with the date picker not really being a 'standard' control.

I tried the solution in the link but it did some weird stuff too.

eg Excel opened in a small window in the corner of the screen

Did it work for you?

Hiya Norie!

The other work around hasn't caused any problems, like an additional window being open in the sheet.

Interesting how excel works...

Date picker is really confusing because you can not use it before you scroll up and down in the work sheet. Is there any solutions to the problem rather than scrolling up and down every time you open the workbook.
