date changes order in pivot

on a daily basis, i run a pivot where the source data (which is on a separate sheet) has the latest date data on the top and then the day before data on the bottom of the same sheet.

the date column is put to the "column labels" of the pivot...some days , the latest date in the pivot shows on the "right side" (column D), other days it shows on the "left" side (column C). is there any way to prevent this from constantly swtiching and have it fixed?

The behavior suggest inconsistent data types. Sometimes showing up as a TEXT value and some days as a DATE/Number value.
Are you using the Get and Transform to bring in the data or is it a linked import? (or other)

after I paste the data ..I make the macro make column A (which has the dates ) into the date format... originally it's pastes as values
