i have a workbook which contains 20 sheets
the first is called DataBase as it holds all fixed numbers and lists that is required in all workbook
in the field that will contai the name of an item there is a validation text it is a list to pick up from
the problem is that i have about 60000 item in the range of the list and to pick from is to hard like you are searching with CTRL + f
i want to be able to just write the first letter and the list filters the results according to the entered text
for example
if i typed the letter "F" the list instantly display all the items that begin with F then as long as i type another letter it filter the result to match the letters i entered

Is that Possible?:eeek:

Strange. It works for me as expected. I've just tested it in excel 2007 without any problems.

EDIT : Did you download the workbook from the link ?
