I would love some feedback on what others feel is the best way to design a full set of financial statements in Excel. I have done this many times in the past, but I am sure there is a better way.

Thanks NateO
I have seen those templates before, and are great examples of layout.

I am looking for statements that when I drop in my current months numbers to the database, it with automatically poputate through the workbook.
Unfortunately I do not know VBA.

Right now I am leaning toward creating some of my statements in Pivot tables "off page" and then linking my statements to these tables. Can anyone offer advice to possible drawbacks/problems?

NateO, would you be willing to offer some examples of the functions you used, or other techniques? This methodology of setup is what I am struggling with.

I have experience with financial statements...I've built my own models in the past (everything from the cover sheet to balance sheet to income statement to cash flows, etc.)...It can be set up in excel as a template that you can keep using over and over...

You can export/link Quickbooks reports to Excel and build customized financial statements with a few functions such as sumif. The reports can be refreshed if there are changes.
