Hey All,

Im trying to create a table based off values in another reference worksheet which will be generated from a value selected from a drop down box.

The values in this newly generated table is then to have a dropdown box next to them in which W or L can be selected.

the link below contains the same question with the attached spreadsheet

Populate Table from database based on defined value

Any help will be very much appreciated!

The idea would be 99% of the time all employees will be there for work so it will only be rarely it will be an "L"

So I am putting this together so at the end of each shift the supervisor will be filling out which employee worked and how much time they spent on which work order (Part of the sheet I am yet to insert)

No that should be fine. Im good with using the data validation tool and referencing cells.

If you could move the horizontal list on sheet3 right one cell so it starts in column E and not column D that would be great

On another note, the list on sheet3 only updates when a coordinator is selected in sheet1 B5?

Yes, that is what I thought you wanted, instead of doing it with the B3 drop down. Along with the name in B5 as the lead name.

With a side not on that very process. I am using the G column row 7 on down as far as needed to compile a list of the Current Coord. name along with all the names In D column with a W, then from that list in G7 on down they are transferred to sheet 3 to the horiz.

So if you add features to the sheet you will need to avoid G7 down a number of rows. If that is a problem, adjustment can be made off screen for that compiled list.

Also note the small blue arrow in A5. Here is what will happen when you click on it. The drop down in B5 will update to include any additions or deletions to the list on sheet 2 column B. So anytime you change the names of the Coordinators, just click the blue arrow and the drop down will adjust to the new list.

I will set about to move the sheet 3 start column to E.

I will post a new link when done.
