Hi,

How can I create a macro that will calculate the letter I will declare?

Here are the equivalent amount for each letter:

B = 2
R = -0.5
N = 1.2
Q = 2.3

S = -1

So let's say I typed in A5 is BRN, B5 will have a total of 2.7 after I clicked the macro button. Macro should recognize and calculate wherever I clicked to have the answer on the spreadsheet where beside it is the abbreviations.

I hope I make sense.

Thanks:eeek:

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
I also want to shout out to:

mikerickson
Biz
pgc01

Thank you guys! Your formulas are superb! All of you who contributed to make my report successful are AWESOME!!!:biggrin:

thanks,

Hi netchie,

Thanks for the feedback and I'm glad MrExcel was able to provide you a workable solution.

Just remember, unless there's a specific reason not to, you should use one of the formula solutions provided by mikerickson, Biz and pgc01 as these would be far more efficient than my UDF.

Regards,

Robert

I made it a point to use theirs too to see how they work. I used theirs in some of my tabs and your's to my other spreadsheet.

Thanks again :)
