Count DISTINCT in ColumnA IF ColumnE status='QA'

I want to have a new column (RESULTS) where the formula counts only ColumnA (DISTICNLY) IF ColumnE cell = 'QA'

Small example:
CategoryStatusRESULTS
blueQA
3
<=== ONLY 3 DISTINCT Catgories that have status='QA'
blueQA

In future when posting questions for apps other than Excel, please post them in the General Discussion & Other Applications section of the board & clearly state what you are using.
Thanks
OK, every time I look online I can never find anything on the QUIP, but Excel has many articles and most work on QUIP, that was my meaning on why. Otherwise may get nothing or more confusing from what I have experienced else where.

Thank you

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
