Count days between two separate dates

Hi i need a function that will count the amount of days that have elapsed between one date in the form of dd/mm/yyyy, and another date in the same format, and to show the amount of days that have occurred between these two dates.

Column a=date 1
column b=date 2
column c=amount of days between the two

thank you for your help in advance, it is really appreciated!
 
You'll need to convert to numbers using text to columns and then the formulas listed previously will work

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
Highlight the column with the dates, Data, Text to Columns, delimited, tab, column format as date, choose your format, finish.
