Hi,

Im still looking formula to sum up these values..

Well in a cell That contains a Number that is been extracted from a html report it shows me on formula istext(On that No)=True resulting the number does not get added up no matter whatever i do..paste values and multiply.

They dont get add up untill i overwrite the number figure on it.

Is there any formula for the same so that they get add up

the other =--trim formula is also not working it gives me end result as =!value..

Help me out

No need for HtmlMaker. Post directly a copy of 5 cells with those dreaded characters.

I could be wrong, but I get the impression that all you write in response to every person's attempt to help is, effectively, "It doesn't work."

You need to take the time and help all those who are volunteering their time to help you. Let's take one step at a time.

Suppose one cell that contains this mysterious non-number is A1.

In B1, enter the formula =LEN(A1). What do you get? Does that match the number of characters you see in A1?

Select C1:C{whatever number you have in B1}. Array-enter =CODE(MID(A1,ROW(INDIRECT("1:"&LEN(A1))),1))
[To array enter a formula, complete data entry with CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER rather than just ENTER]

In D1 enter =CHAR(C1). Copy this down to cover all cells in C that have the array formula.

What are the results? Do you see where you have non-visible characters?

Now, in E1 enter =CLEAN(A1). Repeat the above process for E1, using columns F, G, and H. What are the results?

For the record, this discussion duplicates those in
