Copy and Pasting for Heart Attack Research

I am trying to copy and paste only the 1 values in column B to paste onto column A. How can I do this without completely pasting over column A? Thank you!

Example of what I see on my Excel sheet below

2--5 1
3--0 1
4--0 blank

7--5 blank

Is is this assuming that my information is contained within columns B & C? Which column and row would I put this formula?

Yes, it assumes data in column B & C (sorry, used Claymationator's example). Put in Column D2 and copy down as far as you need to.
