Convert to Range or table.unlist not working

hi - I ran into a strange problem today. I have a vba code that create a table. I am looking to remove the table and I have tried .unlist method in vba as well as clicking on "Convert to Range".

This works in a fresh workbook though. Any explanations for this?
 

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
