Hello,
I am looking for a function to convert LastName, FirstName to FirstName LastNameInitial in Excel. I have seen several name conversion options, but not this one specifically; however, I am new to this Forum so I apologize if I missed it.

@JamesCanale his Excel is in R1C1 format

@pasujo another option to reset your Excel to column letters
  1. On the File menu, click Options.
  2. Click the Formulas tab.
  3. Under Working with formulas, click to clear the R1C1 reference style check box and then click OK.
@MARK858 - This did update my spreadsheet columns to letters instead of numbers, which I like much better. Thank you!

@JamesCanale - After removing the R1C1 reference style (as shared by MARK858), both of the formats you shared work. Thank you!

If you left the formula I posted as it was when you converted the columns to letters you'd find that the formula would have automatically changed to the first one James posted ;)

I just tried switching it back to the R1C1 and using that formula, and then unchecking the R1C1 and yes indeed, it did automatically change the formula. Thank you for all the informative information, much appreciated!
