I have cut the following table down to size to show here. I have three different sets of data combined here prior to using a "=unique" code and "sumif" to combine the data onto a new tab. For some reason I am unable to sort this data by code or plant name.

In that case I can't think of any reason why you can't sort it.
Can you upload the workbook to a share site such as OneDrive, GoogleDrive, DropBox & mark for sharing. Then paste the link your given to the thread.
I just recreated the data and combined on a new file and tabs and had no problem sorting. I can still upload file later if you care to research for your own answer, but no need to waste more of your time. It appears all tabs on this document are unable to be sorted. Something must be corrupted in this file. I Appreciate your help.

Solution

Excel Facts

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
Glad it's working & thanks for letting us know.
If your happy to upload the problem file I'll happily have a look at it.

Honestly, I would rather not waste your time anymore. I believe something was corrupted. I only have to add new data to this file once a year and will just make a note to backup before next years attempt.
Thank you
