Conditional Formatting (or an If Then statement?), Highlighting cells based on varying data

I have one column of names that is fixed, and a list of names that I get on a weekly basis. For example:

Varying Names Fixed Names
Brandon Steve
Lucas Drew
Andrew Jordan
Jake Blair
Blair
Chris
Kenneth

Ideally, I can just paste my list of "Varying Names" beside my "Fixed Names" list, and any names in the "Fixed Names" column that match those in the "Varying Names" column will be highlighted. In this example, the cell with the name Blair under the Fixed Names column would be be highlighted with a color of my choosing.

Can this be done?

Thanks in advance for your help, much appreciated.

Hi,

You need to do the following.

1. Select both the columns.
2. Go to condional formatting
3. Highlight cell rules
4. Duplicate Values
5. Duplicate Value window will open, choose Duplicate in first box and then choose your desire color to highlight duplicate values.
6. Press "OK".

That's it. It will show all the duplicate values with your choosen color.
