Conditional Format not working on some values

I have a worksheet and in column M the formula =SUM(I5:L5) to row I10.

Conditional format "cell value is not equal to =$G$5" then highlight red.

This is fine on a lot of the values from 0 >15 but when the value in column G is 8.5 > 9.75 then it still stays red?

The value is always in 0.25 increments

Column G "=E5" If I change this to the actual number the red highlight clears.

Any ideas?

I to L is decimal to 2 places.

But where are these values coming in columns I-L from?
Formulas?
Hard-coded entry?

typed in by me.

i.e Look at E6 7.5 hours then I input 7.5 in I, J or L or split it in these columns.

When I typed it in, I experience the behavior you mentioned. It think it has to do with the conversion and rounding. It was pretty easy to fix by changing the formula in G6 to this:
=ROUND(E6,2)

Try that, I think it should fix your issue.
