Hi,
This seems pretty simple but I can't get it working.
Lets say column A is a Yes or No column. I want column B to shade in red if a "Y" or "YES" has been entered into column A.
Thanks!

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
Highlight column B, then go to Conditional Formatting, choose the Formula option, and enter this Conditional Formatting formula:
Code:
=OR(Upper(A1)="Y",Upper(A1)="YES")
and choose your red shading.
