Compile Error When running a simple query

Hi,


Had MS Access installed however keep getting a 'COMPILE Error in query expression' when running a simple query


(Left([Field 1],2)

Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.
I presume you are still trying to update the text field in the table via an update query - is that correct? This should be relatively simple but there must be something missing - you might need to post a few more details to help us help you.

If you have not found a resolution to this. I think I know what's causing it. I encountered something similiar when using string command's within VBA. It was caused by having a missing reference on the database. Go into the VBA editor, select tool, then references. Make sure you have no references marked as MISSING.
