Hi,

Had MS Access installed however keep getting a 'COMPILE Error in query expression' when running a simple query

(Left([Field 1],2)

Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
Hi Kully121 and welcome

Try remove the leading bracket, it looks like you have 2 left brackets and 1 right bracket.

Andrew. :)

AFAIK the "left" function isn't an add-in - is it "Field1" or "Field 1"?
