ComboBox works in Excel prior to Office update but not after

My laptop Office suite has been recently updated. Office, i.e., Excel, in my virtual workspace has not been updated yet. My ComboBoxes in identical files only function completely in my virtual workspace where Office updates have not taken place. I copied a file over to my laptop (updated Excel) from virtual, which I often do with no problems. This time, in the updated environment, the ComboBox dropdown arrow doesn't function; however, I can run all Combobox associated macros from within VBA with no errors. I get a weird ComboBox flash in another part of my screen when I click the dropdown arrow on the Excel worksheet, and nothing else happens.

I copied over another file to attempt to duplicate the problem, and I successfully duplicated the problem. Is there some sort of setting or modification I need to make in my updated Excel?
