Hi all,

Excel 2007

I'm trying out some dynamic charts, and the instructions on the web site say you can click on the series and edit the source in the formula bar.

However, when I do this, I can't exit the formula bar (pressing enter does not work)

Can anyone help?

Thanks,Nigel

Editing the series formula via the formula bar is not as robust as it used to be in xl2003.
As you have found some/most times it will not allow you to retain changes made and you have to ESC and lose them.

As suggested use the Select Data dialog for editing the series formula.

Excel Facts

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
I have the same problem I have 18 dynamic charts, I updated all of them and I only have this problem on 2 of them.

The problem with changing it in source code is that the Name (or variable) then gets changed to hard cell.

The change HAS to be done in the formula box, and why does it work for all but 2?!
