Hello, Sorry I don't no the name of the section on an excel spreadsheet which displays the totals. This is the line at the bottom of page, not the totals within the spreadsheet. When you run the mouse over a few lines these are the totals shown. I find the font too small. I can adjust the font size within the spreadsheet, but not these. Alternatively, can I change the color of the spreadsheet, excel defaults to dark green (as with this page header, MREXCEL,com). I thought if I change from the dark green to a lighter shade and make the font black, it might be easier to read.
Using Microsoft Office 2021 professional on a laptop.
Thank you in advance

A pic of what you're looking at might help. I'm thinking that you are looking at cell threaded comments or cell notes. If this is just a row of cell data you should be able to format the cells the same way you would do to any other cells, as long as they are not locked and the sheet is not protected.

This a snip of my excel (on personal laptop), I am using 2024, the area I am talking about is highlighted in yellow.
The version on my other laptop (work) is 2021 and the one I want to change from white on green. Can this be done?

OK, that looks like the Status Bar, which has limited formatting options.
I think you might be better off reserving a row (the first or first after headers?) for what you want.

Thank you for taking the time to look. At least I know it is called "Status bar".
