Hi

I am after a formula that works please

If I have A and B. When a date is entered into A1 I want B1 to turn red. When a date is then entered into B1 I want both to turn green.

MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
No leave the formula as it was.
Select conditional formatting > manage rules > look at the applies to range for that formula, what does it say?

Ok, that's right, but the formula should be
=AND(ISNUMBER($A1),ISNUMBER($B1))
I forgot to lock the range
