Right guys,

is it possible to lock a cell once data has been inputted into it??
i want to make a spreadsheet which has empty cells for reference numbers that once entered cannot be changed unless it is by the administrator.
i also want the spreadsheet to be accessed on multiple pc's by multiple users.

any help is appreciated.

thanks

thanks for the help with the sheet ryan, it works now the cells are not merged. but like you say it doesnt seem to lokc the white cells once a refernce has been put in and then the sheet saved.

the grey cells just show where we cannot offer a delivery so the colour of the cell isn't a massive issue.

could i use a before open code similar to the before save code to try and lock the cells with data in them. the headings are locking where there are cells 1 - 17 which makes it strange that the populated cells are then not locked?!? so frustrating!
