Excel Facts

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).
Cascading data validation

WOW, This is much easier than the nested formulas I have been using!

:o

I found this post on my search for the following: I have xl 2000 and when I protect the cells with the list validation anyone with xl 2000 can use the drop down to change the value of the cell, anyone with xl 2003 gets an error that the cell is protected and read only. I have access to xl 2003 on another computer if someone could tell me the fix I need to do to the spreadsheet.
I have tried to send this out into the world with out protection but alas people alway cut, copy, paste, and lose the validation.

Thanks

Maybe it's just me, but I have a hard time following 6 pages of thread so I was wondering if anybody has sort of generic file they could post somewhere? One that brings it all together. This topic is fascinating to me!

Is it possible to put 2 possible dropdown in a sheet.
Map3
ABCDEF
1
2CodeNameInstitute
3c_1astd
4c_2blog
5c_3crij
6c_4dstd
7
8
9CodeNameInstitute
10c_2blog
11
12
13
14
Blad1
For example

I have the following data C2:E6.
If i make a dropdown menu in B10 it's possible to fill in D10 and F10, with VLOOKUP (vert.zoeken = VLOOKUP).
But what if i want choose to select a Code (B10) or a Name (D10).

So when i make a second dropdown menu in D10 that B en F are filled in.
Is this possible?
