Can I run the filter for Column A off the drop down menu in Cell D9?

Sounds like you might have some other code that is causing problems.
Next time it stops working, run this
Code:
Application.EnableEvents=True
and see if that fixes it.
If it does, it means that you probably have a macro that turns events off & doesn't turn them back on.
