I'm trying to link a checkbox, which I have, to an absolute cell reference. The thing is, it's a long list. Is it possible to auto fill the row, or do I have to write in every cell reference one by one? Apparently it's quite a problem in Excel 2010.

Thanks for your help, in advance.

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.

There's a point in his video where he says, more or less, because they are absolute references, you have to do this for every single one. (You'll see if you if you watch the video.) He says there's no way around it except maybe a macro or...

my thought was to grab the "plus sign" or "angry rabbit ears" at the lower right edge of the cell, and drag down.

I would try it, but I don't want to compromise a spreadsheet I've worked for days on. Even though it's only a checklist, that has five tabs in the same book.

Basically, it's a box in the column to the left of the Item description, and in the column next to that, the desired status. And when you click on the checkbox, a checkmark will appear.

Hope this helps.
