If I start traveling on 8/1 and stop traveling on 8/3 then I have completed three travel days.

If my start date is in cell A1 and my stop date is in cell B1 what formula can I use to calculate the number of travel days please?

Thanks!

Hi Dave, thanks for helping me out with this problem. I'm not understanding what you're trying to tell me with these two tables. Would you please clarify?

Excel Facts

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
1. You may not want a text result; formula with "0" is Text. The text result may yield an error message in a subsequent formula.
If you want a number 0, just specify that in the formula.
2. =(COUNT(A1:B1)=2)*(B1-A1+1) Yields 0 or the number of days.
You can review the components of the formula. Excel's Formula Evaluate may help.

I'm suspecting you pasted the macro into a Routine Module by clicking on INSERT from the upper menu, then clicking on MODULE ?

The Sheet Level Module can be accessed by finding the sheet name in the upper left small window ... double click on the name and the large window on the right will be
where you paste the macro code.

Let me know.

I'm nearly certain I pasted it where it should be but I could be mistaken. I was able to complete the work though with the formula Dave sent over so I'm good to go for now.

Thanks much for the assistance on this!
