Calculate Information based on time

Am having trouble writing correct statement and need some clear thinkers.

Need to calculate qty * cost and enter into a certain cell based on the time the information was entered. If the time entered in I2 was between K2 and L2 then the qty*cost would be entered into E2. Likewise, if I2 was between K3 and L3, then the qty*cost would be entered into F2 and so on for 4 more columns. I am using the 24 hour clock.

Any thoughts? I've worked on this for 3 days but haven't succeeded.

What a man! Thanks so much for your help. I've learned so much in the past few days, my head's swimming. I'll take what you've sent and tweak the spreadsheet tomorrow.

My great apologies for ignoring your contribution to this discussion.

I was not familiar with the IF(AND syntax, and I though my way was OK.

After playing with it a while, it seems much clearer. I have always suffered with conditionals involving multiple comparisons.

I've discovered that OR works as well, and even allows more than two inequalities.

For example, IF(OR(A2>B2,B2>C2,C2>D2),1,0)

In many cases, OR would allow the user to avoid <= comparisons.
And that's good.

Thanks for the excellent lesson, although it took me way too long to learn.
