Hi All

If I were to start using business objects advanced, would this be a way to learn SQL at the same time?

Hi

Just to add my thoughts, I'd probably use MSQuery to query eg an Access database (Northwind is perfect) and examine the SQL generated from there. If you use the macro recorder as well, you'll learn how to craft SQL and macros to pull data into Excel from relational Dbs as required - which is a very useful skill. It's worth noting that Access uses a non ANSI-standard SQL variant though, so not all queries may be directly portable to other databases (this shouldn't trouble you though).

Best regards

Richard
