I think it's corrupted. When you type "1.[space]", Word will autoformat as Level 1 Numbering in a new document. I have a very large document and it has a lot of numbering. For some reason, it keeps defaulting to level 4.

1. Level1
a. Level2
i. Level3
1. Level 4 This is what it keeps resorting to.
Any way to fix this?

Spell Check in Excel
Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)
That's probably because you have whatever Style is attached to Level 3 to follow with a Level 4 style and, if the Level 4 style is set to be followed by another paragraph at the same level, that's what you'll get. The behaviour is to be expected. If you want to revert to a higher level, you need to apply the relevant style to the newly-inserted paragraph. If you don't want the Level 4 style to be followed by another paragraph at the same level, change the 'following paragraph' style setting for the Level 4 style.
