Hello,

I hope anybody se thsi and know the answer!

I would like to open the SaveAs dialg from vba and have the save options as I chose SaveAs from the meny ...

fileSaveName = Application.GetSaveAsFilename()
This does not open the SaveAS dialog with all options ...

please help!

What do you mean with the Tools menu app?

Which version of Excel are you using?

Do you mean you want to get to the Password option as 2007 shows the Tools Option at the bottom but only allows you to look at Mapping the drive.

Did you really try my solution before posting? It shows the regular options for Tools since... in essence... it is the very same Save As dialog window that is shown.

Why do you need to know the filename and path that the user chooses? You could also use ActiveWorkbook.Path or ActiveWorkbook.Name or ActiveWorkbook.FullName.

If Cancel is pressed, in my solution no error comes us.

I will save the file and set a varaible in my code that the file has been saved
