I have a customer table and an order table. The total cost of the customers orders has been calculated using a query. I now want to move the values for the total cost of the customer orders to a field in the customer table. I have tried this using an append query but keep getting a key violation error.

Some customers dont pay for an order straight away so i want to keep adding the cost of the order. I was trying to move the values to customer table and then keep adding the cost of an order so long as it isnt paid for. I basically need a way of keeping check on the total order costs for each customer.
