Hi
I have various properties let out to various tenets . The tenancy are of various periods eg some may be 1 year or others may be 3 ,5, 10 years when date the rent increase may be yearly or every 2 or 4 years from the start of the contract. Is it possible to have an excel spreadsheet to show the monthly rent and also the date and amount of the increase rent on the annversery date..

Re: annversery update

Not the name of the function, but rather the module.
They usually have named like Sheet1, ThisWorkbook, Module1, Module2, etc unless you physically changed the default name of your module.
The reason why I am asking is because if you place it in the wrong module (i.e. one of the Sheet modules) and try to access it from another sheet, it won't work and you will get the error you are describing.

What that error is telling you is that it cannot find any function with that name which means one of three things:
- you placed it in the wrong area
- you mis-typed the function name somewhere (either in VBA or on the sheet, so there isn't an exact match)
- Macros/VBA are not enabled on your workbook
Hi.
The module no is 12 I have enabled macros and now get the message cannot run visual basic macro because of syntax error. Pls let me know what I have done wrong
Tks

Excel Facts

How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.
Re: annversery update

What version of Excel are you using?
Is it for Windows or Mac?

Re: annversery update

I have Office 365 at home, and just confirmed that it works for me.
I suspect that you may not have all the proper VBA Libraries selected.

From the VB Editor, go to Tools -> References, and note which libraries are selected. You should have the following ones selected:
- Visual Basic for Applications
- Microsoft Excel 16.0 Object Library
- OLE Automation
- Microsoft Office 16.0 Object Library

If all 4 of those are not selected, find them on the list, and select them.

Does that resolve the problem? If not continue on with the following:
now get the message cannot run visual basic macro because of syntax error.
Does it give you a "Debug" option with that error message?
If so, click and it should highlight the line of code it is having trouble with. Let us know what that line of code is.
