I have 46 cells which lookup the same column but 46 rows. I want to anchor all 46 cells and be able to do this multiply times. F4 does not work to do it all at once, shift and F4 does not work either. Any ideas? I am running office 365.

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
can you give an example

$ will fix / anchor a cell reference

so to fix the range
$A$2:$A$100 - you cna change the rows to match your 46 rows

$A fixes the column
$2 fixes the row

called relative and absolute reference

assuming that was what you meant

In cells B51 : B96 I have the following =D4 (in cell B51) =D5 (in cell B52) =D6 (in cell B53) and so on until B96. I want =D4 : =D48 to be =$D$4, =$D$5, =$D$6 and so on. I can anchor the D all at once by using find and replace but not the numbers. is there a way of selecting cells B51 : B96 and anchoring the lot all at once?

find B
replace with
$B$

but if you put in D4

=D4 in B51

if you copy done it should change
to D5,D6 D7etc
