The subject says it all.
I currently run 2010 and 365 and there isn't a problem.

I have some work that needs features in 2016 that are not in 2010, so I suspect I need to install 2016.

From anyone's experience, could I safely just do the work in 365 and have it run in 2016 if I'm careful about what is and isn't available in 2016 that is in 365?
This would apply to Excel as well as PowerPoint.

Thanks for any advice and opinions.

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.

I have successfully had 2010 and 2016 running on the same PC. Though if you have 2010 and 365 running now, I'm not sure why you would need to install 2016.

Yes. At least w/respect to Excel. Just be careful about using any bleeding-edge new functions.

Thanks for your comment. The person I'll be doing work for runs 2016, so I didn't want to do something in 365 that couldn't be done on their system with 2016.

It should not be hard to do. I've used 365 to produced 2010 compatible workbooks. Besides, if you inadvertently do something incompatible, no big deal. He complains, and you fix it.
