Hi there,
I ran into a strange problem today. I received an excel file today and the underlying data is in table format. When i select the table and pivot it, there are 5 additional fields in the pivot and there are absolutely no hidden columns.
For example, the table looks like
Fruit Price Inventory Past Sales
...........
...........
...........

When i select data range from A:D, the fields in the pivot table are actually
Fruit
Price
Inventory
Past Sales
Past Sales calculation
Inventory calculation

There are no hidden columns and neither "Past Sales calculation" nor "Inventory calculation" is one of the visible fields in the underlying data table...

I don't know how to find the data for these extra fields...any help is appreciated.

Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)
Welcome to MrExcel.

Is there already a pivot table using the table? If so the new table will use the same pivot cache, including any calculated fields.
