Is there a way to add # of months to a date and then find out what would be the exact date?

For example if cell A1 = 04/30/07 and Cell B1 = 14 what is the statement that would give me 06/30/08 in Cell C1?

Also, how can I modify the statement if Cell B1 = 14.5 to get 07/15/08?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Gene:

In the last example we started off with 30-Apr-07 and pushed it forward 1 month at a time. EDATE did its job by pushing the date forward by 1 month and when the total number of months in a month were less than the day of the starting date, it used the maximum number of days on the month under consideration. See the illustration below with the starting date as being 31-Mar-07 ...

Excel Facts

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.
I completly follow your example. I still think, however, that the case can be made for "last day" to always go to "last day", regardless if one month can "fit into" ( <= quoting myself cuz that's how I understand what you said) another month.
